One Degree Financial Names Two Recipients of the 2026 Dick Loges Veteran Entrepreneur Fund Scholarship
Hannah Scribner and Zoey Royer selected from 381 applicants; each receives $2,000 toward higher education
Tysons, Virginia -- June 19, 2026 -- One Degree Financial has selected Hannah Scribner of David City, Nebraska, and Zoey Royer of Orange, Texas, as the 2026 recipients of the Dick Loges Veteran Entrepreneur Fund Scholarship. Each will receive $2,000 toward their education. This marks the first year the scholarship has been awarded to two recipients, chosen from a record 381 applications.
Scribner, 18, is a first-generation college student studying graphic design at Wayne State College. Her father, a disabled Navy veteran who served as an AT2 on Pioneer UAVs, runs Scrib’s Moving & Heavy Hauling in Nebraska despite living with PTSD and other service-connected disabilities. Royer, 20, is studying business management at Lamar State College-Orange and plans to pursue human resources and then law school. After losing her veteran father in 2022, she began working at fifteen to support her family and started her own small jewelry business in high school.
“Hannah watched her father deal with serious challenges from his service and still show up every day to run his business. Zoey lost her father and stepped up to help her family while building something of her own,” said Rod Loges, founder and CEO of One Degree Financial. “That kind of determination and sacrifice is what this scholarship is about.”

The scholarship honors Loges’ grandfather, Dick Loges, a veteran who built a life of service and entrepreneurship after the military. It is administered through MilCom Founders, One Degree Financial’s community for military-connected business owners, in partnership with Bold.org.
